Hello guys.

I have a small question .

What torque should I apply when tightening the bolts from the hot side of the turbo after ''clocking'' it?

My case is an GT 3071 r (with ball bearings)

Your answers will be highly appreciated!

Cheers,

B

Didn't you read the other thread you posted this question in? Steve had already posted the answer.

The turbine (hot side) is 185-215 in-lbs.

Is something getting lost in the translation?

You've cracked the nuts on the turbine side so that you can rotate the housing?
Now you want to do it back-up, and don't want to over-tighten the nuts?
- According to Steve you want a torque of 185-215 in-lbs (or 15-18 ft-lbs or 20-24 Nm)
- If your torque wrench is like mine, that's probably the lowest setting on it.
You can't get the socket on the nut/bolt (then how did you undo it)?
You can't get the wrench to clear the turbo etc (then why not fit an extension to the socket)?

I learned my english ....so it might be something lost in the translation.

I didn't used a socket wrench to undo the bolts....I used a spanner.

Any way thanks for the help!

Yeah, I appreciate that English isn't your first language, and that you do a lot better in it than I could ever do in Romanian. That's why I just wanted to make sure we understood the problem.
