If you have a digital volt meter then start the car let it warm up and idle normally then test the output on the battery, with the car on idle you should be near 13.5v/14v, if its pumping more than this then your alternator is over charging the battery.
Make sure the battery water level is topped up (remember use de ionised water not normal tap water lol :lol: )
If the alternator is charging fine then try the regulater.
