Air Filter. How Big?

Hi there peeps. How things going?

I'm looking to buy a new air filter as my old Pipercross one is looking rather tattered now. I am also going to move the filter to where the battery sits, and partition if off with a stainless steel guard.

I am looking at buying a universal filter and to get a fairly big one, as I am making up a new intake pipe and MAF adaptor at work, as it is being re-located (as stated above.)

I am looking for some advice on how big I should go, and what type of material the filter should be made of?

Your input, pictures and any other info on this, will be grately appreciated.

Thanks

Dan. :)

Thanks Sirnix.

But how big should I go, eg. 100mm inlet, 150mm x 100mm diameter,
and looking from that previous thread it's a choice of 2 materials.

Your views?

Cheers

Dan. :)

to be honest...anything past 70mm is too much...if you think about it everything gets restricted to 40mm at the MAF anyway.
