Adjusting base timing

Hi guys,

I will be firing up my engine for the first time tomorrow and I want to check and adjust the base timing. I have a timing strobe but just wondered where I attach the strobe to. On the workshop manual it refers to a tap some-where in the wiring loom that you can hook the strobe up to?
I'll use my data-scan software to match the ECU base timing with the actual engine timing using the strobe. Where do you guys hook the strobe up to please?

It's normally battery + and - and also no.1 plug lead.

depends wat kind of strobe, some just go between the HT lead and plug on cylinder 1.

20 degrees, its the mark furthest to the right when looking at the crank pulley from drivers side wing.
