17" tyres

does anyone know if 215/45/17's will fit the R without scrubbing? ,y cars lowered with whiteline supposed to be -40mm springs.

Try 215/35s. The 45s have over an inch more diammetre than my 225/40/16s and the front of the wheel arch liner is barely an inch from the front centre of the tyre. I have about a 33mm offset on mine tho, so I haven't noticed any rubbing on full lock yet.

I use 205/40/17 and they don't catch at all

I've got 205/40/17 and mines lowered about 35-40mm and mine catch slightly on hard cornering or large bumps.

yeah ive got 205'40/17's atm but can get the 215's free through work (on the sly!) just wondered!
