Hi

Im new to this, brought my first R about three months ago, best buy ever I think, not sure her indoors agrees :D

Any way I have fitted a forge dump valve about two weeks ago, and have noticed some oil in the holes around the valve! Is this major or will a new oil separator solve this?

its pretty normal, the oil is sucked into the intake from various parts of the engine oil emissions control system and coats the intake with oil. You can mod it all out though so you only have nice fresh clean air ( useful if you are thinking of fitting a nice new shiny front mount and don't want it dripping in oil ;) ) As Nismoboy said though, a new seperator seems to cure the worst of it.

There are a few posts on the forum about how to do this and the pros / cons etc if you do a search.

cheers guys, will get strait on it, hopefully get it sorted this weekend

Not really connected but ring forge tell em your dump valve doesn't work very well and get em to send you a nice yellow spring to replace the standard blue (i think) one :D
