leaking std dump valve

just wondered if anyone has had a leaking standard recirc dump valve if so what problems did u have cos mine is leaking and i suspect it is causing my running fault.its still plumbed in the standard way so would the leak cause a hesitation and sum flat spots????????

ive cleaned afm,changed plugs,welded the intercooler end tanks on as they had blown off,changed fuel filter,my next plan was to disconect the dump valve altogether and check timing any other ideas or can anyone shine some light on the situation cheers

Have you tried bench flowing the injectors? That helped mine a lot with a flat spot. Cheap and easy to do :!:

If the dump valve is set up to recirculate still, the only downside to a leak will be less boost or the turbo working harder to maintain boost. Only if it's leaking to atmosphere will it mess up the fuelling and cause a flat spot.
