IDLE

Out in my r tonight give it some welly. Reved it past 8000 rpm when i stoped it was idleing 1200 it allways idle at 1000 can any one help.

Has your car been chipped or got a new ecu in it..??? 8K is way past the standard rev limiter.!!!!

It has a mines ecu.

mine does that everytime i hammer it it idels high after ??? why is it :roll:

I think the mines limiter is set about 8400rpm, I have one in mine, but don't ever rev it that high, Mattygtir posted some info about it.

there was a post on here a while ago about the car idling at anything from 900-1500rpm there were loads of possibilities.

I have a feeling it was turned into a sticky. mine used to idle perfectly at about 950 all the time. But now idles at anything upto 1500!!

I keep meaning to go through that list but have no time at the moment.

Took my car to 8500rpm and no sign of limiter. Is ther something not right or are the japs mad. Do anybody no how far they go.

Not my my R but i've seen one at 9200 with what looked like a standard ecu ?

I think my limiter cuts in just after the needle goes into the red

weren't certain mines ecu's mistakenly programmed with 84000 limit instead of 8400 ?
