Fuel Pump Relay

as title says, for some reason Nissan cant get me 1 for a few weeks.

I'll take a pic of it in the morning and post it up so you can see the positioning of it (cos I cant remember off the top of my head)

What I do remember is that its the only green relay in the box

sorry for the lack of reply!

turns out it wasnt the relay at all, there was a broken wire between the relay and the connector under the rear seats.

I did some work on a pulsar earlier this year. Turned out that there was not even a fuel pump relay on this one. Someone had taken it out and bridged it with a wire. All the time the ignition was on so was the fuel pump, I pointed this out and told him to get it sorted asap. Wouldn't be nice to have the car pump out the entire fuel tank if you had a crash and split a line. (assuming you were unable to turn off the ignition)

thats what I did (as a temporary messure) to see if the relay was the problem.

turns out it wasnt.

Didnt feel right hearing the pump constantly pumping even when the engine wasnt running, pump would surely not last that long!

No mate, turns out it was a broken wire that was the fault...not the realy.
