front discs

does any one know the minimum thickness of front discs for when they are being skimmed on a lathe. :?:

There are usually little dents on the outside of the disc.When it's worn down to the bottom of the dent,you sling 'em.

i can't see anything like that mate.is there a site anywhere or do you know someone who can find out tonight.

It's right on the edge of the disc,as you're looking at the cross section.Might be hard to spot as they get rusty.

Have a squizz in a Haynes manual. Try the one for the Sunny (doesn't cover GTI or GTIR so may be no good) or the Primera (some have the same brakes/calipers as the R).

does the brakes of the nissan NX fit on the nissan GTIR?

Not sure but a lot of Nissans share the same caliper.The front discs are 258mm I think(might be 256mm I forget).

I'm pretty sure the front pads are the same as the 100 nx :shock:
So does that mean the caliper and discs are the same??

But are the brakes as bad as the R??? Are the master cylinders interchangable, they may have made an improvement on the Almera?
