dump valve pipes

Am gonna replace the pipework for my dump valve with some nice samco hosing, just wondered if I changed the lengths of the main pipe and the vacuum pipe if it would make any difference to the sound or operation of the dump valve... :?:

Doesn't make any difference really unless you can get it under the vent in the bonnet.Samco do a 90 degree elbow that's perfect size and is only about £14 or so.

Ok cheers, just wondered if a shorter pipe run would make any difference with less pressure to build up or something... yeah thats what i'm aiming for.
