Does anyone know how to remove the head without taking the engine out? Do you leave the inlet manifold on or not? I've tried a search but couldn't find anything. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think its usually a case of trial and error, ususally with cylinder head removal you start the job and do it what ever way is easiest.

The head can be got off without removing the engine and its eaiser to remove the inlet manifold to get it off as theres quite alot of stuff underneath to remove :( but its far easier and quicker to remove the engine as if you think getting it off is hard wait till you have to put everything back on

I've got the head off now. left the inlet manifold where it was. There is no way I could put it back on the same way though. Wish i'd taken the engine out now. Might still do that when it's ready to go back together.
