CP pistons

Hi all,
Is it possible to fit 86mm pistons to a healthy 60k engine without the need for a rebore? ive done a few searches and it seems like everyone goes for 86.5mm? thanks.

doubt it, as the rebore leaves 'honing' which beds the new rings in, so i hear...

yes you can fit the 86mm pistons assuming your block is in good order and within spec.
you will however need to hone the cylinders to take the glaze off them, so the new rings bed in correctly.
