change 3rd gear with box in car?

is it possible to change one of the gears in the gearbox with it still on the car?i have seen something about doung internal stuff with the box in the car but not sure what it was.

There is/was a thread somewhere about taking the gear case off with the box in the car. If you can do that then I can't see why you won't be able to remove the internals as well.

yeah you can take the internals out on the car, just lower the engine with the drivers side mount still in place, done it a couple of times now, lol
