How are you fitting the seal?? I did a subaru one and I lubed it up a bit too much and it leaked, fitted the next one dry (albeit a small smear or oil in the inside around the crank) and it was fine??

check the end float in the crank if there to much the seal will leak.
you will know if it is this you will feel the play by hand.

I'v just finished doing mine and what I found was, That there is a thin flat metal metal washer thingy that sit's under the seal. And if you did what I did and take the old seal out with a screw driver you can damage it  .

Lucky enough for me I had a spare oil pump cover in the garage with the seal still fitted  8) , And I just removed the seal a bit more carefully this time as not to bend the metal washer 8) , And fitted it to mine with the new seal and it seems to all work fine :D 8) .
