to order new shells i need a number does anyone know where it is.
I was told it was on the crank?
apparantly there are 3 different sizes from nissan.
the crank doesn't need regrinding because it hasn't been scored.

All the numbers on the shells will be the same, so you cant work out what grade you need from them.

The number you need is on the end of the crank. You then work out what shells you need from that number, it tells you how to work out which ones you need in the workshop manual if my memory serves me right. If not Mike at MJP has the details on how to work out the ones you need.

You need the numbers off the con rods as well as the numbers from the crank then add them together to work out which shells you need. Ideally you need to use platigage to check the clearance properly.(think its the green one 0.025 - 0.075mm or something like that).
