Hi Johnny thanks for your kind words if this guying essex had not taken it you where plan B as i note your bit off a have a collection and i wanted it to go to a more sympathetic owner.
@geoff pine absolutely gutted to hear of your news Geoff. We ended up moving to Liverpool just over 12 years ago and we still have the R but it’s in dire need of major TLC.
Really sorry to hear it Geoff. I hope it can be managed and you have many more happy years with your family
Can't think of anything to say other than that really Geoff
You've been around on here as long as me which is nearly half of my life, that's a scary thought I still haven't forgotten the time you sent me a full set of valve stem oil seals when I was building my stroker engine with not many days to go before I was racing it at Castle Combe
Don't know how often you'll come on here now you've sold your car but all the best for the future
My rally car is needing service work ready for the next rally, after the corona virus has broken... New front discs and pads (ready to bolt on, 280mm and DS2500, new rear pads (wilwood's own 4 pot jobs) oil change (mobil 1 motorsport/filter) and a general check over. Then ready to rock, again.
Went and made sure the R was still in the garage and yes it’s still there
I washed it in the garage, tutted at the lack of work I've done on it, peaked at the engine and huffed and puffed.
Scratched my head, had a little sulk, realised its been garage bound for 6 years, cried a little, then went back inside to play WARZONE!
Also, need to give my 'new' battery a trickle charge, and rob a bucket seat out it to mock up the new racecar I am building
I’m sulking with you Andy. Next year hey, next year
Removed the cover from Mine with a View to returning it the the Road after a Long Hibernation and Putting it up for Sale, not really sure what the Markets going to be like for the foreseeable future and once i get back behind the wheel my decision could alter but i've got a Few to Many Cars at the Moment and cant Drive them All !
Sorry to hear about your Health issues Geoff, i haven't been on the Site for some time now, but always remember the Good advice You and the other Members gave me.
