:D Gave the R a good thrapping today around Keevil airfield circuit. And shock/amazement....NOTHING BROKE!!

My discs/pads are now shot and the new Toyos look worse for wear, but all in all a great day!

Its amazing how much you learn about the car on a trackday. And having some tuition is a good idea-you can lap so much quicker

The instructor was suprised at the performance "Bit of a pocket rocket this!" 8) Although not quite in the same league as the BMW CSL that was ripping up the tarmac...im not all envious

Anyway heres a few pics...

Me!

Noble & M3

Me again...

Rear shot-thanks to Andy N for the GTiROC sticker!

:D Thanks for the comments, just try to answer all the questions....

F&Skill-Camera mount was from this company http://www.b-hague.co.uk/camera_suction_pads_vacuum_mounts.htm

It worked a treat as it did when used on my GTi-6 although i am to chicken to use it on the outside of the car! Always good having the video to show people, esp when you overtake

Kypan-Toyos are T1-Rs and are not that bad really, i did abuse the car in a big way! The alloy Rims got so hot the laquer stuck to my finger...and burnt! Sides are well scrubbed but still very legal :)

Mark-Anytime you want a whooping!

Ok, anytime after i have fitted new brakes-the discs are now warped and 5month old pads are dead.

any chance of seeing any of the vid footage? :)

and the body roll looks pretty serious... what suspension/bushes/braces do you have?

Not had the chance to upload any video yet, and also need to find a host when i do. Might put a link in my sig when its done

Body roll... Its not that great is it! But all standard so i can't be to surprised. Still can't deciede how far i want to go with this car-it needs news pads/disc's now and suspension could do with uprating...

It might have been better to have bought a modded R to start with, but i will stick with this one for the time being. Do you have any suggestions on the brakes/suspension? I might go for used stuff to keep the price down.

Thought about getting the HI-Spec kit or maybe just Greenstuff disc's/pads........plenty to think about!!

Good show mate, well done for tracking it

The Hi-Spec 285mm disc kit is quite good value for money, stopped my brakes from fading completely, and fits under 15's - just!

Once the R's suspension's firmed up a bit & you change to poly bushes & anti-lift kit, you'll notice a HUGE difference in the handling especially on track 8)
