Speedo Sensor

A fully working one posted in the UK please if anyone has one! Still trying to work out the problem with my speedo

Thanks,

What's it doing? If it's not working, quite often the delimiter (on import cars) has died.

Occasionally it springs into life - but very very rarely. I tried bypassing the converter but that doesn't seem to have helped

Mine does this sometimes too, normally in the middle of a average speed-check zone... Could be sensor or just as likely a dry 25 year old solder joint buried in a printed circuit board somewhere in the system...

I tried fully removing the converter, but no luck. I also checked it was wired in correctly and it was. Has anyone used a cluster repair service? I emailed one near me but I got a strange reply where they said if the miles were not clocking up (which they dont unless the speedo has a little back to life moment) the problem was on the car

Test the speedo sensor on transfer box for pulse signal and wiring for continuity, use a scope or a simple led which will blink if it producing a signal.
Most times it either the converter/delimiter or the speedo clock pcb board solder or component fault such as dead diode .
Seems you bypassed converter/delimiter it likely pcb board issue, checking output from transfer sensor and also checking ecu is receiving speed signal will help narrow it down .
