Possible Nismo GTI-R at Jap Auctions, plus other unrelated RB Pulsars

This just came up for auction in Japan, looks like its one of the Nismo cars. It's very rough looking, probably has some nice bits on it though

looks rough! strange that it has the rear wiper, but it has the black mirrors. I also spot a roll cage there too

I also believe the topic title should be RB GTI-R Japanese Auctions not Nismo GTI-R. From the Fast system there is so far only 1 that matches as a Nismo and that is not offically listed. It is known from the original vin number and the Nismo build plate attached and is currently in New Zealand.

Also, just went through my files and this was previously for sale from the same company in February 2010.
Back then it was for sale for US$4000 (FOB), as you see now it is US$4973 (FOB), almost a 20% mark-up.
Couldn't sell it then so raise the price and mugs will think it is a different car. Kilometres listed are identical.

Thanks for an interesting 15 minutes of research

if you sign into japan partners there is a photo of the vin number of that rb above, ill dig it out tomorrow.

Yep, same pic I have from the 2010 for sale blurb, which I found amongst my files after I did a search, the one I mention above.

Who owns that?? I know there is one which belongs to a family as the driver died over here that is suppose to be a nismo built option.

Yes Martyn, its still in the corner of the yard. All the mechanicals are in my RHD car which I will be using this year on the hills. My LHD car needs a bit more develoment and making a decision to strip it or not. At present it is 100 kgs too heavy, but has really good engine, clutch, and ppg. Den.

As a matter of interest, my RB nismo number10 has a vin number RNN14 005259.
That is interesting, as Nissan FAST doesn't list this vin number as a built unit. But in saying that, yours isn't the only one, there have been several anomalies.

Do you have the model prefix, which is something like this "EBYNRRFN14TZAHSC-A" and the colour code KJ7 (Ivory) KH3 (Black) etc.

Would be good to add to my database on (3/4 complete) on known Japanese production, and to make notes on it being Nismo 10.

Awesome! I think that has way more chance of being a legit NISMO GTI-R than not.
Even looks like a rough area where the Nismo badge would've been at the back under the "GTI-R".

Ken - please share more information!
I can't find it on any auction sites. Did it sell? What was the start price?

Has anyone else ever seen one with that paintwork - other than the one in the Japanese OC? In 12 years I certainly haven't.

That makes no sense Gary :) There is no designation for the Nismo ones in FAST, and we know not every VIN is listed anyway, so the fact they are or aren't in there means nothing - plus there was no VIN provided for this one anyway...

It should be "Possible Nismo GTI-R at Japanese Auctions, plus some other completely unrelated RB for sale in Japan" :p
