Nissan parts... from nissan

Called my closest Nissan dealer and asked if they could get hold of the following:

starter motor
power steering pump
big end shells
timing chain + kit
tensioner
oil pump
head bolts
rocker cover and manifold to head gaskets

they declared they can only get hold of the oil pump.:unamused:

if your local Nissan dealer is as shite as mine, where do people get their Nissan parts?

So, ebay it is then?

Yeah, Cambridgeshire England to be precise. Anyway, had a brainwave. I used to have a 350z and had it mapped at abbey in Oxsted. I knew he specialised in GTRs and GTiRs so I called him and he says he should be able to source them via his man in Japan. So I'll see how that goes.

you can get some of the stuff from eric's performance on ebay. I had my starter and alternator rebuilt by local chap who was able to get the internal bits ok

Use this link to all the parts you need.

I've had very little issues when it comes to ordering parts from Nissan for my heap of shit!

http://nissan4u.com/parts/sunny/er_n14/1995_1/type_23/

(Some) Nissan parts staff are 100% useless or not interested in trying put any effort in looking for the parts you need.

However that link above is a great starting point and should allow you to obtain most of the items on your list (as I have)

Had one of my Pistons measured yesterday. Said it was 86.97, 86 it is then he says. So, I'm assuming it's not 86.5 ( as mine has 54C 0.5 on top ) it's just a standard size. So CP 86 MM.

Does not make sense! If the piston measures 86.97 then it's not going to fit in to 86mm hole. Either he measured it wrong or...dunno. If you're piston has stamped 54c 0.5 then it should measure 86.4..something. Either way measure the bore then you can determine what size pistons you should use.

If that is what the piston measures your bore would more than likely be 87mm. I think you are being confused by the 05 (not 0.5) that is stamped on a standard piston.

I don't even think they make standard pistons that big so something is wrong somewhere, my money would be on incorrect measuring.

Who measured it? Based on what you said above I wouldn't be confident they know what they are doing!
It was a local engineer, he used a digital vernier. He brought it to me and measured it in front of me and it said 86.97

Not sure if the 97 is nearly a MM or if its a 100th of an inch or even to the thousandth of an inch.

o.k. i'll send a pic to a tuning company that i'm intending to buy pistons from ask them if they have any idea.

Hey mate, you need to get the bores measured for wear before you order pistons, a local engine recondioners will be able to do it for you and advise you on what is best.

Already done, there's a little bit of a lip near the very top but they have been well honed and it's in really good nick.
