I guess you're the wrong side of the Midlands - The J10 meets are pretty regular if you can make it to the Black Country/Wolverhampton region, and there's usually a few GTi-Rs (not that I've been personally, but it seems that a lot of the more active members on the modifier's site are also involved with the J10 meets).

I think Ollie was the rep for your area, but he's sold-up now (which might explain why there doesn't seem to be much happening).

If there's anything happening around Stoke, then I'd be interested...

I got a new job in Stoke-on-Trent and they paid to relocate me a bit closer (rather than pay the ~£100 each week in fuel). I'll be honest, this isn't the best place to own an R; too many bumpy roads and congestion.

You're quite right though, even LisaZ (in Mold) is selling-up; I know some of the more valuable parts have already gone. It's not all bad, there's at least one new owner in North Wales (although I don't quite know where he is).

Anyway... this is not totally off-topic because it shows that you don't get any meets going in North Wales either, we always went to Andy's N/W meets instead.

ye your right...i'll tell you what i don't miss about the R though...the dreaded fuel stops every 30 to 40 yards.

I wish we had time to get up to the horse-shoe-pass roads when i had my R, I lurve it up there...maybe 1 day though innit.
