im not a southern softy. i would happily camp as it would save a fortune and i think the boy would love it but the wife wont.

i'm just back from 5 weeks in Dubai at 40c+ even up to 48c for 3 day and i'm still camping!
booked in at that b+b bob (last room) however its the master suite with jacuzzi and everything, looks quite nice there:-D
i would like to take a pulsar to this day but the nme engine has blown up in my car last week at cadwell and the new engine ive built is sitting on the bench waiting to be run in so thats out.
all i have in to take is a stock pulsar with a dubious gearbox that has noisy bearings, plus another car im collecting from newcastle tomorrow but dont know what thats like.
dont know whether to temporarily fit a standard engine in my car or what at the moment

im gonna get lee to fit a standard engine back into my car temporarily untill my engines fully run in so hes got 2 days to whip mine out swap all the bits onto it and refit it back in my car as im off up geordieland tomorrow

i have 2 10 man tents, marquee and campervan so am well prepared for camping, your all welcome along on fri/sat evenings for a few beers/food.
just had crx for few runs up and down the road to bed pads in and nut/bolts check, all looks good, so far! :-D

my car should be all up and running again today with a standard engine for me to destroy:-D
quite looking forward to this trackday as never done mallory in a car before, looks like 58secs is a respectable time around there going by hothatch race so something to go on anyway.

i just looked at a video of hothatch series and some were going round in 57secs so i guess anything around a minute is good

this guys doing around 59 sec laps which looks quite achievable although always seems slower when your watching a vid as opposed to driving

what do we do about them, do we just need to turn up at the breifing.

a big thanks to scott for putting the invite out, and for taking me out in his crx.
was a shame it only lasted 3/4 of a lap before it broke the rose joint on the rear arm as that thing corners like a scallectrics car(that was just the out lap)
a massive thanks to bob for cheering me up and giving me a ride in his pulsar but more importantly the megabusa.
all i can say is i want one,it is fantastic.made it even better that i didnt have a visor.
as for my track exploits(he he) the old vectra diesel did me proud,although slow it went round the corners well and even manage to overtake a coulpe of cars. Gave it up as a bad job though after a half spin as its just not my pulsar.

quite chuffed with the crx, before i broke it that is! still a lot of setting up to do on it as i was only getting 80mph round Gerrards, yet last year did over 90mph in the damp in my sunny zx (that outlap was about 40% of what the car was doing on my previous session) should be good with a t3 fitted, rear-mounted radiator and less weight!
managed to get some more folk to come to the 'ring next year as well so should be good, looking forward to it already!

once again thanks for sorting this out scott, its a pity about your motor with something so small ending your day early your almost as unlucky as me lol.

it takes balls to get in that thing more so as a passenger so i take my hat off to you, you are a true lunatic:lol:
the biker who was racing tomorrow (who also had a ride) was well impressed with it also, he couldnt believe how fast it could get round those bends compared to a bike, i did take it relatively easy in it today though as its going up for sale shortly now ive got the tvr so obviously didnt want any damage to arise.
had a really great day.....ive still got work to do on the pulsars handling as you know im not happy with it, but il get there with it eventually.
