Jon as isual your full of s**t

How is your 14 second pulsar gonna compete with anything :?:

Surely it concerns you that you go on a pulsar sprint day meant for the top pulsar's in the country, of which yours is apparently the most powerful  and all they comment on his your brakes

Oh and my bro chesked his pressures straight after 1 session and they were up 10 psi from cold
So guessin mine were more rounded like a bike tyre durin peak track time, rather than a nice flat traction area as they should have been.
Durin the dry sessions i was doing bout 5 pushin laps then lettin everythin cool down (was needed) and did feel tyres go off couple of times.

Ben
You live and learn. My first track day I didn't realise you had to let the car cool down a lot after each session until my cooling system gained a pulse

Tyre choice. R888's are a good choice or any other semi slick. I've tried everything from part worns to Premiums and normally will kill a set with within 2 track days, often only one.

Eagle f1's are a good trye, I quite like Toyo's but Hankook's (K104) are a good alternative to the Toyo's slightly less grip but more hard wearing. Premium road tyres are a good all rounder for wet weather track days. Get semi-slicks though if you're going to keep to the dry season.

Thanx Jim.

Am sourcin a spare set of wheels so think will try out the semi slicks.

Any info on where to source these (soz just bein lazy now  )

Thanx, Ben

so come on its money were yah mouths are time, its just a credit card payment away :D

its up with www.easytrack.co.uk

and to make it even more interesting there are some evo's and scoobys gonna be there.

ben try the oil cooler without the stat in first, but hey wtf do i know.
tyres- yoko's A048's suit the R, dearer than toyo's but more progressive when they let go.

£299 for brach hatch is a bit steep. Its good but its not worth nearly 2 Oulton Parks or 3 Elvingtons etc.

TBH jon its more than i'd wanna spend on 1 track day

I realise the GP circuit is that much better than the indy and open track time is perfect for settin up and gettin your set-up right but i'm not in i'm afraid

Have got myself an oil cooler so that should help, but thanx for the advice, its all useful.

Matt you mean the rally cross 1 :?:

Yeah I got footage of Dan keepin it at bay for a few laps and once he got past keepin up with it. That was the fully set up car with the slicks etc etc. So your talkin a diff league.
It was fast, easily out accelerated me but Dan, No :!:

Considerin it was his first track day and not havin driven the car much apart from 5 or 6 11 sec runs at the pod  Dan done v well and the improvem, ents were visible for all to see. I'm sure the pug wasn't congratulatin himself too much as he looks v experienced in a sorted and established car.

Would like to see the footage mind, all good memerobilia.

ben.

if you never try it you will never know how good the GP circuit is.

its a shame your not gonna do it.

jonee

I'm sure it is, but at the mo its more than I want to spend on a single track day.
My car won't be ready for a day like that at present anyway. I'm sure that sort of day will really put the car to the test.
Brands seems v expensive in comparision but gotta consider not much travellin which is big benefit.

any GP circuit is gonna be expensive, silverstone/donnington.

you get what you pay for.

so i'll go back then, when is everyone going to be available for a track day.and were is it gonna be.
is traveling a distance a problem if not then let me know how far you are prepared to travel.

would you consider an airfield type event if cost is a consideration to you.

dont know yet jonne.

want to do brands, but at mo car is well off finished, not even mapped. i'm aimin to be at redline rumble on the 15th, up for that jonne?

and if all goes well ill be up for brands, as long as i've sorted

tyres,
suspension,
engine map.

£300 is alot, but i'm always up for tryin it at least once.

Matt, yes that pug was quick, 750kg's, 190bhp, race tyres, race car, rally cross driver who's knows lydden like the back of his hand,
i know all this as the bloke come upto me at end, cos he was impressed how i kept in front of him, till i gave him space to pass, then i stayed with him for another couple of laps till the end of season.

1st and 2nd outin he lapped me, but the last i was there with him
