i genuinly don't know who LYNX and learner driver are.

but due to fact they know about the porsche gt cup car at brands, then they were there or read it on another post.

that date was the 30th jan this year,it was an open pit and i took a lot of people out in the car that day.

i'm sorry to dissapoint you dan but the R will proberly never go back on the road again.

but well done for shutting up that luke pecker,he's had it coming for a long time.

perhaps you could persuade luke to join us at lydden :D as he was so confident he could beat me.

so once lydden's out of the way will any of you locals ever do a track day some where else.

i think this post has run its course so i wish everyone who does have the balls to get their car whatever it might be on the track a good and safe days driving.

see you all there and i beleive dans buying the first round of coffee's :D

so thats the round of coffee's dodged then

the car is off the road due to it costing to much to run as a track day car and road car. two track days and its having front wheel bearings and a water pump, plus the fuel it consumes it soon adds up.
to be honest i would rather have it reliable for the track and just build another one for road use.i had more fun in it when only ran 350bhp on the road than in the current state of tune it is now.

never more do the words "less is more" meen so much to me.
don't get me wrong 500bhp is very nice but with 500bhp comes 500bhp maintainence and round here who is honestly worth wasting your fuel on,it certainly isn't luke the pecker is it.

i will keep her for the track only as that is realy what i enjoy. after all the bantering and wee taking,i still maintain that your car is a quick car your times show that and it has taken you a lot of time to get it were it is now and it is a credit to you.

i will assess the position of building another R when my health issues have been made clearer to me.

oh and my coffee has two sugars :D :D :D :D

I agree with you fella, though I haven't got 500bhp like you and don't plan to anytime soon  . Now I'v changed my turbo to a bigger one and spent all this money doing this and that, I'v relized(sp) that I loved it just the way it was at 311bhp 8) .

I'll will just have to see what I think after it's remapped to 1.4 bar :D .

in reflection the next road R i build, i will do nothing to the engine just everything to the brakes/steering/suspension to see just how quick it will be with those mods.and then a mild engine tweek just to make sure it holds its own against porkers and M3's.

all the time i'm going to trackdays and beating cars like 996's and i hear comments like "i can't believe that little nissan s h i t box just passed me on the outside of clearways" from a very unhappy gt3 cup car driver. i know iv'e done something rite for R cause.

dan still no coment on the round of coffee's :D :D :D :D :D

i like my coffee with two sugars thanks :D

as for going home unhappy, even if by some miricle you manage to stay in front of me.i'm as gracious in defeat as i am in victory, win or lose i will still shake your hand at the end of the day.but not unhappy cause i enjoy trackdays they are the only time that whatever car you drive you actualy get to drive hard without the fear of a sunday driver/school run mum/dodgery old git trying to kill you.
i find the atomosphere at a track day more friendly/ helpful than on race days.when you race no one will help.when you trackday you can't beat them off trying to help.iv'e had people send me the money through the post for the fuel that i gave them at a trackday 2 weeks previous, thats the sort of people iv'e got time for.

anyway i'm pretty sure my butt is safe,so we will just have to wait until the 16th of july.

until then, lets be careful out there

Looks like i'm bottlin out
Cars been smokin since rebuilt. Wanted to get it sorted for track session and thought couple of weeks would be ok to fix. But not for me
Head is stripped and likely that valve guides need replacin, but intended just to replace valve stem oil seals so could make it. Meant to arrive yesterday but chased them today and they've been misplaced and replacements won't be here til tues. Old ones damaged when gettin them out
