Speed Sunday 9th December 10am - 4pm.

The Speed Sunday trackdays are suitable for any road legal car. Enjoy the challenge of Knockhill Racing Circuit in your own car, get your foot down and enjoy the handling of your car in a safe and legal environment. All cars must have an MOT or must have a ‘Knockhill Scrutineering’ certificate. Safety briefing and instruction given.
Full driving licence required (must be shown) and helmets must be worn. Passengers can enjoy the experience too! Save money by booking in advance. GET ON TRACK!! Click here to book.

Speed Sundays are also great for cruising. Don’t fancy going on track but want to be part of the scene? Then come along, be seen and enjoy the atmosphere.

Think I'm going to brave the elements and take the car for a blast in the wet.
Anybody else interested.... If so, I will see you there...

Not too much (no) response to this.
Am I the only mad one going to track in the rain and snow....
I'm really looking forward to it and there's some interesting things going on in the side lines... Santa's Grotto has a hot tub with scantily clad ladies ... .

Good Stuff... hope Ryan's got a fresh set of pads fitted.
That was fast work by Jim to strip and rebuild the bottom end... well done.. .
I'm going to drive my car there, do you think Jim will take a jack and tools to save me bringing tools..... ;-)

There is a chance tomorrows event will be cancelled due to snow... I will check there web site tomorrow morning before setting off.

Had a spare bottom end, so used his head with the other bottom end, think hes planning on rebuilding a spare engine when he gets time. He had the car up and running in 2 days not bad goin.
My brothers picked up some evo 4 pots so should be alright this time round.
Im sure they will have plenty of tools too

I'm working on the videos now.
I missed Ryan on track because he must have been up at the crack of dawn and his gearbox gave up the ghost on his first session.
I was delayed due to weather conditions and a Lochs & Glens coach was blocking the road so I had to turn around and take a private water board road out of my area which added alot of time and miles to my journey. Like a sad bas' I videod the to and from knockhill journey and will post that up to. You will get an idea of the "**** end of nowhere" location.
I only had three sessions on the track but it was great to try out my setup on a wet and cold circuit. In race two, I found myself with loads of space in front and behind so pushed the car to find it's limits.... had a few slides but kept it on the black stuff.
They cut the track time short as it started to ice up...
I was behind Jim in race one and three and you can see him slip sliding about having fun.
Think he may get a new set of tyres and check out the rear camber...;-)

It was nice to meet old and new friends and a great day out......

I was gaggin for a beer when I got home .... ;-)

Yes, it was touch and go whether this went ahead or not.
Hat's off to everybody that made the effort.
I have posted a few vids up of the track time but I am also going to post up my trip to and from knockhill as that was pretty interesting to.
All in all, there will be 9 vids of the day.

Here's the first couple and the rest will be there or there abouts... just look under braveheartgtir for the rest.

hi braveheart yes a good time was had by all, managed to get ryans car home on the trailer ,and he drove mine home, got to dastek at 8.30 this morning, they did a power run on the car, it was making 298 bhp, they said it was running fine and a chip wouldnt improve anything, beter to leave it till i plan to go for mor bhp.. so £400.00 saved for more goodies. will have to get the blue pulsar up for a power run, seems a bit of the pace. jim.

I guess that's good news Jim... saved yourself a few quid.
300bhp seems pretty decent although I don't know the spec of your black road going R.
If it's standard with a bit more boost then I would leave it at that as long as the fueling is ok.
That cash is now freed up to throw at the blue R.... 8)
You can have all the power in the world but the car need to be able to handle it... ;-)
Cooling, brakes, suspention, management bla bla bla....
As you know, it's not a cheap hobby...
You have good mechanical skills nd access to some good companies so I'm sure you'll be fine. In fact, I think I'll have to move my temp shelter closer to you... ;-)

Great videos mate, I wanted to get up so badly and meet some people, but a combination of Hi-Spec being over slow and a session at the pub from 4 in the afternoon on Sat and finishing after the Hatton fight kinda put an end to that, maybe next time, looked good. Thanks again for the videos, great viewing.
