just wondering where in ireland i could carry my car to get it checked out . like a rolling road to make sure its running ok and to tune it up some bit. at the moment its boosting to .5 on the guage which acording to another thread is right.but the car feels as dead as sh-t . cheers

Westward in Kidare - 2 bad reports with GTI-R's in the last 3months ( 1 rebuild and map to 1.2bar = 234bhp ???, 2nd map with power fc = engine light flashing possible detonation)

JR tuning in Waterf AKA Jim russell - tried and failed to map Pat's car.

Trackday Performance = good and bad stories

Extreme - seem grand, well able to charge but also questions over mapping...


Its unfortunate but we only trust RC at the moment. Hiteq also. Both in UK, RC are coming over to us at 3 weeks for mapping, you could get real lucky and they might have time for a look.

Have you an AVC-R? SAFC?

Nothing guaranteed as it looks they'll be flat out anyway.

East Coast Customs in North may be worth a look - JP any info on this??

JP - who would you let "tune" your R now if you had AVC-R or Power Fc?

I have S-AFC S-ITC and AVC-R :lol:

But eastcoast can map no problem also TTM said they can work with apexi gear emanage is alot easier for them though.

DS might be good but with an R??? have not heard anyone taking one there :?

Not sure about TTM either...

Guy with Evo and Power FC living near TTM travelled all the way over to RC.

Personally, I don't think anyone has enough experience wit GTI-R's over here.
I know it shouldn't make a difference too much, but it does.

hi, did you swap thye airflow meter there murder for giving up.
the car would drive like a non turbo little or no turbo boost.
rc all the way my mate dont leave any morons in ireland go near it:roll: . the extra cash on the boat + fuel will be well worth it.

thanks for the reply lads. to answer some of ur questions i am from kerry and brought my white r of s&b motors over a yr ago. it is bog standard ,i like keeping a car original but i am going to spend a few pound on the engine to get a few extra horses. where would ye start.

oh ya had my car out tonight helping a few lads make pace notes for a rally thats on the wknd . and they thought it was a rocket so i must b just used of it cause i dont think it is.
