it doesnt cost anything to watch matey, they should also do passenger rides for normally £5 if you can find someone to take you out in their R! but you will need a helmet

I need to check i can get the weekend off work and if so then should be able to attend, If you want i can ask around on the gt4 clubs to help boost the numbers, maybe we could have a magazine shoot like the scooby vs gtr one at snetterton?? Has anyone mentioned this to the modifiers to see if they would be interested, obviously they'd have to pay full whack!?

Hi,

i don't write much as in the end invariably things dont pan out or not enough people etc etc, there is always a reason.

if this is going to be cancelled then what about next year when the weather is more reliable but tieing up with one of the other meets, would be far enough in advance that people can get their cars ready , plus with a none refundable deposit, so those that are really interested would gladly put there names forward and the organiser(s) wouldn't be wasting there time,

I really would like a meet were it is an enjoyable weekend for family's as well as all others, makes sense to me, and you don't have to be a performance car nut, but want a good couple of days out, run/show your car if you so wish, but to do something along those lines then would have to be commitment for people to turn up from the early part of organising.

How is it the RS owners clubs and others can effectively get people to organised meets but this one can't, there must be a reason, how many people actually own a pulsar and use it, off the top of my head from places ive been including Elvington, which is a hell of a way for me, approximately 35, 40, aplogise for those living abroad, Jobi especially, drove all the way from Paris to Elvington expecting a club stand, a team, and help, thats what this club hyped up before then, the three that ran, independantly registered, independantly sorted there cars out and went home, (no offence to those that were there and offered support), JAE 06, how many turned up 7 was it, ok it was wet, bloody wet but that is not the point.

I know that performance cars have a higher following in the midlands and north, irrespective of make, as far as meets go, and most of the bigger meets are midlands to north, but what is the point of the area reps, busting there guts in some cases, organising meetings etc when most of the time total apathy prevails,
sorry if some dont agree with me, you are entitled not to, I just think its getting to the stage that no one will be willing to carry on organising anything due to the response of some on this site,

Regards

Nigel

that was the point i was trying to get across a few weeks ago with my somewhat dubious thread modifiers v gtiroc.
the points you have just made are the same!

upfront deposits!

more family orientated meets 'for people that want to take their wives, girlfriends etc
gtir car boot jumbles (will be a big hit, for those that require parts)!

weekend meets at a track where everyone can have a laugh and a good beer up, and talk about there conquests on the track!

go-karting events with top 3 from each area having a grand final in middle of the country somewhere, with say £5 entry and prizes for the top 3 nationwide!

these are just some examples of things that area reps could organise and get more response.
it must be really frustrating to try and organise something such as pete has done, but to no avail

If this is definately off then I will change my plans as I had been putting off changing them so I could come on the day.

I personally enjoy the winter trackday season because of the rain so will still be going out at somepoint anyway. Like last time, it would be more fun to go with some GtiR's around so if we can get a gathering then I'd still be game
