just been looking for my renewal and Ive saved myself a small fortune, Sky originally quoted me £642 comprehensive, Herts then quoted me £510 tpft which sky said they would match. but I just tried Adrian Flux last minute and they offered me a comprehensive policy for £450. just seemed rude to turn it down!

I must admit that im not a big fan of Adrian flux as they are hard sellers! they spout off a load of balls about it being a one off quote and they cannot guarentee the price beyond the phone call and all that nonsense (im an ex-insurance sales person myself and I recognise the speel) but I really cannot argue with the price.

Its a shame I had to leave sky as they are really nice people and they promised to match like for like on their quote but they needed proof of the modifications on my best quote. Adrian flux do not offer this as the modifications are agreed with the underwriter and not writen on the quote (I checked this and its true).

in heinsight I wish I accepted adrian flux's quote earlier with the intention of canceling just so that I get the Policys schedule with the modifications on it. that way I could have stayed with sky but hey theres always next year

All mods declared- Alloys, Brakes, induction, exhaust, Electronic boost controller, ECU, Suspension and forged pistons, cosworth head gasket, Acl race bearings. 8000 miles. Very Happy Ben!

Don't bother with allegiance when it comes to insurance companines.

Being from insurance you should know that it's cost and package that matters.

I'm with Flux and I don't care how they sell, I just give it to them straight, take off crappy useless extra's.

Every year I do the rounds and move about, currently Flux offer £400 @ 5000 miles fully comp and that'll do for me.

I like the challenge of getting the best deal and seeing what ridiculous figures I'm given for the shed. (£9000.00 from one company) :der:

What problem you got with them? I play the insurers off against each other screwing them down to get as best deal possible!

I sent them my renewal letter from sky to proove my ncb they didn't check it off their database so they are asking me to provide proof again.

I put in the modifications proforma- K n N cone filter and MINES ecu. They sent it back because it didn't say KnN (induction kit) and that its chipped

They wanted a photo copy of my driving licence but failed to mention they wanted to see both front and back of it.

All really petty stuff but its just frustrating the shit out of me.

I think I just had an idiot do my paperwork. Just because I didn't include the words induction and "chipped" in the proforma.

Adrian Flux can call us and we can confirm your NCB, we'd do it that way if you were our customer.

    Thanks

Hard to say, it would have needed to be referred back to the underwriter.

I was told that sky would match it but they needed a quote as proof from adrian flux with the list of modss on it. Unfortunatly addrian flux don't list mods on their quotes only a price and the key particulars. Very frustrating as obviously It would have been best to stay with sky.

I cleared it all up in the end. They checked the files and the proof of ncb was indeed there.
