I'm not sure how I missed this thread. If it was later this week I'd have come along to watch.

Hope all went well today Bob.

Cheers,
Jim

Nice one glad to see the ecu is of some use, I put it in my car but never drove it about only a few 100 miles off boost so had no idea realy what there like. how much difference has it made :)

right here goes.
was a fantastic day yet again. hats off to focused events they really know what they are doing. also hats off to all drivers as everyone played ball and only 3 red flags all day.

a few pics of some cars that were there.ok no pics you will have to check them out on my photobucket as they are too big for on here.
i will put a link up as soon as they have uploaded.

there was the usual suspects scoobys, evo lots of caterham types. there were also 2 ultimas, a ferrari race car, nsx, a 650bhp escort and some hand built buggies.

the old girl performed fantastic and was greatly improved(way more than i expected)when i riped out the bleed boost controller and fitted the dawes controller. it was like fitting a turbo to a standard car.
infact after leaving the pits and booting it i shouted out holy sh*t as it was that good. unfortunatly the camera wasnt on(i dont think)

had a good few kills on track. a porsche turbo, the nsx, lots of minis, and various other(too many to list lol)

1 bad thing was the new front brake pads i fitted(i know andy i should of listened to you but i couldnt find any in my fitment)bloody redstuff bollo*s. good form 1 hard brake then as much use as 2 slices of bread.
also i think a swirl pot is in order.

after a long hard day i was giving it everything and loving it when a had a small very brief missfire,so thought i would come in for a cool down then 1 final blast.
but it wasnt to be. on entering the pits there was alot of white smoke from the exhaust. parked up by the van and left it ticking over.
everything seems ok,sounds ok but when you rev it then let off it puts out white smoke.(any ideas people) so called it a day and went home(still happy)
when back in the yard i unloaded it and gave it a quick boot up the road and it seemed ok(no smoke). left it ticking over for a bit then started to smoke on tick over aswell as reving it.
i have a feeling it will be the turbo, bugger.this is the smoke http://i407.photobucket.com/albums/pp158/buckybuckland/IMGA0075.jpg

cant wait to get the old girl fixed and the next trackday booked.

will do but have to fix the beast first. had a quick look the other day. looks defo the turbo as missing oil and water so track day money will be going on one of them. maybe rebuild it depending on damage.
whens your next outing
