anybody... I heard they need to be 3 foot away because the high temp will shorten the life, but does this mean you get a worse reading???

It says in the instructions to have the sensor 3 foot from the turbo....it might slow the response slightly(but they say it extends the life of the sensor)

When i got my exhaust done i got a spare sensor boss mounted up front, when it's mapped i'll sswap it over to see if there's any difference.

ahh.. clever..8) you could use the close boss for mapping and the other for every day/keeping an eye on things (assuming its not ridiculously slow at 3 foot:shock: )

d`you think the angle of the boss to the gas flow makes any diff? like on a bend it would get the full force:twisted: ???

I got a second hole too.......... but only because they didn't put it 3ft away in the first place  AEM says 3 ft on turbo cars .

think i will do the same, get one facing the flow (???) nearish the manifold, and one in the decat pipe. just gonna be left with loads of wire when tuning.

Stumo, looking forward to your test results on the diff positions:thumbsup:

Stu, have you found a source for a plug on the front boss yet or have you still got a second sensor in like me?
