Ok been having trouble with my r for ages now. turning into a bit of a nightmare.
In oct2010 it over heated badly. I gathered parts and had the head skimmed polished etc .
In jan put it back together started fine, ran ok but water still going in oil . Also after the car gets hot the water...

I was driving the car hard but temps were fine .
Got stuck in traffic jam and I switched the engine off then back on 5 seconds later .

Trying to get my piston Tdc .
The marks on the crank pulley are no-where near Tdc on piston number one, I've been turning the crank what feels like forever and it doesn't seem to be changing at all. Infact pistons 2 and 3 are closer to being Tdc when the marks come round.

Im currently in the process of shimming the head I need alot of shims and guides .
Phoned nissan and these are now £25 each .
Found shims for $10 on frs sport so would be loads cheaper .
Just agreed to have the folowing done to my head seeing as its off .
Open up and flow inlet and exhaust ports
Open valve throats
cut valve seats
clean valves + cap
valve stem oil seals
machine head face
degrease and rebuild.
Also can port inlet and exhaust manifolds at extra cost
It seems I have blown the headgasket but wont know until ive got the head off .
Ive taken both the inlet and exhaust manifolds off and rocker cover.
But now im stuck with what to do next, do i just start removing cams first or untension the chain ,or is there somthing else to do.

I was fiddling about with alternator bracket underneath the car and forgot to re-plug the sensor back in before driving .
Once warm i went to high boost setting and noticed the car pulled noticably harder and longer from a lower in the rev range.

Which is 0.6 with the avcr off .
On high boost set at 1.2 bar with foot to the floor boost gets to about 1bar then drops to 0.9 then back up to 1.1 then back down to 0.9 then eventually up to 1.2 .
