is there anyway to check anything gearbox or transfer box wise to see if either are at fault short of dropping them off the car? Anything that could be seized or locked which is spinning when it shouldn't be?
I could drop the prop shaft off to rule that out I guess.

The car sat for a few years after the rebuild but I'm now getting everything sorted.
The car has done about 300 miles and there is a strange whirring sound coming from what sounds like just under the gear stick (around the transfer box area). I did notice the gear box was short 1 litre of oil...
ECU talk will read a fair amount of monitors and fault codes and they do a free version but you do need old .Net (v1.1 i think for it to run) will also run on an old hp ipaq as a handy tool :)
So I'm just about get her back on the road and I was asked about my pre-mod and post-mod value. I've had a quick scout and prices seem to have gone up a little, so having not been around for a couple of years I could do with a rough idea of a value, what is the going price now?

Rebuilt my white 'r' a few months before the last anniversary meet over 5 years back and its been in the garage since "resting", looking through some old threads I',m full of renewed energy to breathe some life into her now I have the time to do so! One problem - need to ship her to Manx land!
Well after about 4 or so years I've decided to revive her, mot went well apart from on route I found that neither the indicator nor hazards work, fuse looks good - is there a relay and if so where is it!!?
Cheers chaps.
Sand, Primer and Paint (depends on your color what type you put on) - Get a nice finish with a Acrylic White gloss rattle can if your careful! - job done. Will chip easier though so just be careful with it.
