That's what I thought mate but on the Garrett website they say it's down to you to ensure the maximum oil flow isn't exceeded by your engine at high revs. I have done many searches on the internet about this and there are so many different opinions. Garrett reccomends fitting an external...
Just to revive this thread.... Can anybody tell me please what size the restriction in the banjo bolt is as standard please?
The standard turbo is a journal bearing abviously but when you swap to a bb turbo (I now have GT3071R) aren't you meant to change the restrictor? since a bb turbo doesn't...
Depends what you want mate; If you want an acurate rpm reading for the 'Gear Judge' feature then I believe you need to wire it to the rpm signal. If you wire it to the Injector signal you obviously get an accurate reading for injector duty cycle instead.
I have mine wired to the rpm signal so...
I have a mappable ECU mate for sale if you want it?
And yer I still have a smile on my face, it's like a new car. I duno what that wastegate problem is, both the internal and external couldn't hold the boost at high revs, almost seemed like I need a much bigger one.
And yes yes mate I saw...
Well, finaly took pulsar to Ed today to get it mapped, was worth every penny! It runs so much better now and made 319 at 0.8 bar. Did hit 345 at one point but there was an issue with the wastegate. Standard maf and 550 injectors with gt30 turbo (not sure what compressor is exactly). Was nice to...
Sorry mate just seen this, needed it before Friday really but that's impossible now. I'll bodge it for now as taking car to Ed on Friday, but I'll be in Bristol all weekend so could come meet you and buy it off you?
No turbo seems fine mate in terms of play... there is a bit but there was when it was new as it's a bb turbo i suppose?
Yes my next call is to replace the oil drain and try to get that right then go from there. Hopefully this will solve the problem once and for all. I just hope it isn't too late.
Well to be honest mate it all started because the breather system. When I built the engine I stupidly thought it would be a good idea to power wash the rocker cover (completely forgetting the breather matrix inside). This obviously left a lot of moisture in there and prevented engine from...
No mate the standard one on pulsar is a complete bolt on flange with the pipe bending back toward the block.
I cant come straight down as the return pipe then has to travel upwards to sump. I need to come straight out of turbo and bend back like standard one does.
Cheers
