    GTIR Ownership and Modifications

Haha I guess I should clarify.. If the choice was s13 or gtir. For similar money I'd do a miata with k24 swap personally

    GTIR Ownership and Modifications

I do like my gtir a lot but if its meant for track duty I'd always pick the one with the most aftermarket support and only two driven wheels. For a track car I'd pick an s13 and build that up. Just my opinion

As I dont compete in rally the softer rear setup for the nme is probably because of the rear bias on their centre diff. I want lots of rotation to the point of throttle lift oversteer that is nearly snap oversteer. I've got a rough calculation of 2.57hz spring freq in front and about 3.46hz in...

Yah I've got custom housings that mount my short strut fairly low and the GC top hat mounts above the susp tower. I've got about 1.5 inch more travel than the standard coilover setup for a total of 2.5 bump travel so I can drop it another half inch or so without sacrificing too much bump travel

If ur just driving round town the BC racing r fine If you care about how it handles but don't want to spend the money and dont mind the less comfortable ride use an even spring setup. 6 front and rear or if u learn how to drive properly use more rate in the rear. The biggest help to making the...

I use the a32 maxima from here Anti Roll Center tie rod kits And the ball joint I ordered from here Roll Center Correction Kit Sentra Just the ball joint not the set. Its a 38.2 mm bearing If it doesn't work I can go back to stock. Just thought id give it a try

I left the front bar on as I wanted the roll resistance and faster weight transfer. Not ideal due to it adding understeer but it helps the front tire to not roll over yeah I run my rear bar full stiff as well. My alignment 3.5 degs caster 2.7 neg camber .05 toe out. In front and rear is 1.5...

OK I got the Ackerman wrong but steering is quick and shorter like a quicker rack. I do feel a bit of excessive toe change in a straight line. Cornering its fine and I prefer it. however I hope the long shank ball joint cures the toe movement. I'd like to run quite a bit lower. I'm basically...

So I see Ackerman like this http://i.imgur.com/rEKtKu1.jpg I now have my tie rod end mounted like this http://www.b15u.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=41463&d=1357751837 That slight change in angle of the centre point of the tie rod end Maybe I've got it wrong but I'll have a long shank ball...

The ball joint angle to the mounting point of the tie rod end has changed since the mounting point has changed.

Yah cone type events . I dont usually use the pulsar as its classed poorly and its always in the lag portion of the power band at the speeds I corner at. But I destroy all but the top drivers in miatas civics and s2000s. Stis and evos r far far far behind mainly kuz of weight. However I am...

I think they are worth 4 x the price The BC racing have poor damping Almost no low speed damping and too much high speed damping implying linear rather than digressive valving Only rebound control and the 30 odd clicks might as well be 3 settings as there's hardly any difference lack of travel...

    Tein Coilovers or Meister

I would recommend going to an even 6kg 6kg or even 6kg , 7kg rear setup maybe even less rate if you want a softer ride like 4 4 or 5 5 but there is so little travel ud b bouncing off the bump stops in front. U will be sacrificing road comfort but it'll help how the car drives round corners I...

    New rear brake discs

If you have upgraded fronts and want a bigger rear disc. Use an a32 maxima rear caliper pad carrier and a a32 maxima 278mm rear disc redrilled to 4*100 or us sentra spec v with brembos rear disc redrilled to 4*100. Bend the heat shield lip or cut it off. Reuse your stock caliper and done...

Sunny GTI-R GENUINE Nissan Front Brake Pads And Rear Disc's Wanted

You can just use 10.1 inch reardiscs off a gti with a gti pad carrier. It shifts the stock caliper inward 12mm approximately to line up with the disc with taller hat. You might need to trim the heat shield a little to make it fit. It is likely the cheapest long term solution to rear discs I...

My settings are Front caster 3.5 degrees Front camber -2.8 degrees you need the extreme camber to combat positive camber gain on roll Front toe out 0.05 degrees Rear camber -1.5 degrees Rear toe 0 Pressures 28psi front and rear and bleed off to 30 as they heat up Double adjustable ground...

    Decent shock/springs VS BC coilovers?

on my gtir i run ground control advance design struts, they were used which i had rebuilt at gc (meant for a b13 sentra same one's as mike kojima's on his sentra featured on motoiq), they're bump and rebound adjustable. only 2 way, not 3 way so i dont have specific control over low/high speed...
