I did a kit a while back with 290mm discs from a 300zx with the correct pcd & centre bore, all you need to do is fabricate a bracket to space the caliper, it makes a massive difference to the dive effect of having uprated front brakes with standard rears.

Had a similar problem but instead of shearing it stripped the threads. I sent them back to hispec and it cost a small fortune. If I had to do it again I would probably take them to a local machinist.
