I had the same problem, the live wire running to the pump still shows live when I tested it, but it will have a bad connection somewhere and cant deliver enough current to run the pump.
The easiest was to know for sure is to run a feed to it from somewhere else. I ran one from the taillights...
Yeah mate, I just ran new live wire from the fuel pump relay in the engine bay right through the car to the fuel pump and problem cured.
You would spend some time trying to find the weak spot in the original loom.
I already have this done, as I aquired a wiring fault somewhere in the loom and rather that trace it, I just ran a new feed from the relay.
But what are you recommending that I do with the earth???
lol, I suppose your right. Ive never spent a penny on handling. Im one of those people who grudges spending if it doesnt make horsepower. I guess its prob more to do with me feeling a little inadequate when im driving it.
At the minute the only reason is because its only worth 2k. Two years down the line ill prob want another one anyway. And I have a full spares package in the form of a spare car sitting to back it up. Otherwise it would be away cos im fed up of feeding it money at the minute.
Yes it is...
I can sense the other lads in work with their 09' leon cupra's and such, looking down their nose at it.
But when they try to talk to me about driving fast, I always have that little smirk on my face.
I Launched it in the yard in work one time and it gets a bit more respect now.
Antilag is supposed to be use with a turbo that has a maram shaft designed specifically for the stresses of antilag. The antilag that these management systems provide isnt proper antilag anyway, not like a group a rally car etc.
Im running 1.3 with only upgrade being a walbro. Had it on rollers and A/F is still slightly rich (safe) and no knocking. To be honest if its for track use your money would be better spent on brakes and cooling.
