People had problems years ago and I think they just shaved part of the gearbox off.
PS You might need longer studs with a 10mm spacer.
Been a while since I checked, but I think 900rpm is about factory idle.
Plugs don't run lean they just ignite the charge. If it's running lean it could be an injector.
Air leak on the inlet system somewhere?
Check every hose you can on the engine intake (including turbo pipe work) for splits and security.

Yes, if you have a Gtir (54C) SR20DET and not an inferior version then 7s are standard 8s are one step colder for higher power.
Aren't our plugs heat range 7 as standard going to 8s when tuned if needed? 6 is the 200sx plug isn't it?

I have a feeling the Z32 might be maxed out by the GT35R.
What power are you aiming for? The GT35r is a 550bhp+ capable turbo isn't it? You'll probably need plenty of revs to keep it on song.
