92 pulsar gtir rnn14 sr20awd rocker lifters

So was doing a valve cover gasket changed and cam gear change and thought I would clean my rocker lifters and to my surprise where the lifters were supposed to be I have a bald with a hole through it for oil does anyone know why the pulsar SR 20 has those and the. 240 SX SR 20 have lifters with springs ?

Read up on the gtir engine, it is a solid lifter engine that you have to shim on the valves and is the only one like it in the sr20 range.
