I use the standard GTiR cyclinder on my 6 pot brakes and have no issues whatsoever!
Personally, the oem unit is perfectly acceptable.

Common upgrade is from the diesel Primera which is nearly a direct fit. Only really worth doing if you are significantly increasing the caliper piston area. Increasing the diameter of the mater cylinder will trade pedal travel against effort which is worth keeping in mind if you are running without servo assist.
