Valve shims wanted !!

Hi
Am in need of some valve shims. Ideally as small as possible to work from as mine are all too tight. My current ones are around 2.4mm

I am all sorted now and can recommend a company in Australia that makes these to measure if anyone ever needs any.

They make them in any size you want.
I got a full set delivered for around £130, I ordered them on a Thursday night and they was on my door step Monday morning which I found unbelievably quick considering I have ordered things in the uk and they have taken longer to arrive.

I wasnt that impressed with the ones from Australia, they were not very accurate and imo a waste of money.
Best method is to simply measure the gap, and punch out the required thickess from a feeler blade and insert it into the shim bucket.
Its much cheaper and more accurate, :blush:

not alot of cop if the shims are too tight! and not alot of cop if you use to thiner gauge as they do squeeze out and then you have debris floating around inside the engine which ruins the oil pump.

Yes mine where too tight and no one had any small enough for me to work from. I undersized on my order purposely to be able to shim it up myself but the shims I ordered where bang on the size I ordered as I measured them. So I was more than happy as it was my saving grace after months of trying to get something to work from.
