Internal gearbox upgrades

Hello all, I went down to Llandow circuit this weekend and after a long drive down from Leeds in Yorkshire, my gearbox failed in selecting gears properly again after a massive 10 f*****g minutes on track. It didn't select 3rd properly, then was stuck in 4th, then would select nothing and now I believe it's stuck in 3rd.

Now it's a quaife gearset I have in, and I'm sure I've tried before but not got anywhere, is there uprated springs, selector forks, synchros or anything else I can put in to make it better an more reliable and if so, where can I buy this stuff!??? Lol!

For those that know me, this time it wasn't driver abuse as I was actually just driving it steadyish and getting warmed up and used to the track!!

Thanks Chris.

Who (re)built it? - I'm sure I've read a couple of times where something really simple like a detent wasn't quite in place and as a result the whole box locked up.

It's done a few track days and been to Nurburg since its last build so I don't think it's that pal! It just needs more new.... Better bits to go with the quaife gearset! I was just wondering who knew what was good and what's around, and were to get it! I've got 2 weeks to get it all done as I'm booked on at Croft 2 week on Sunday!

3/4 par selector.

The the problems that you will most likely find it that now you've added a Quaife, the stresses and strains will be transmitted into other areas of the gearbox.
I had exactly the same issues when I went to the Isle of Man. I added a Quaife and the gearbox still destroyed itself because the power was transmitted to weaker parts of the transmission.

All I have done is replaced most parts brand new and also cryo treated them for what it's worth.

So are new springs etc availible ? Bearings any info as also looking to build a box up ? What's on at croft Chris ? Our special or just a track day ?

Yep, it's annoying when the other parts keep breaking! I didn't realise that the gearbox internals were still available from Nissan brand new! I shall buy whatever, springs, new synchros etc that I can get from Nissan and get them cryo treated. And I shall buy the 3rd to 4th and 5th gear Par fork selector then! I guess I will just have to get it built 1 more time with standard parts that I have in a spare gearbox so it will be ready in time for Croft, and then get it all done again properly after that! :)
Croft is just a track day Johnny, booked through javelin! I'm in mine, my mate in his supercharged s2000, my dad in his Abarth and my other mate in his Ibiza cupra! U booking on matey!? Obviously the more the merrier! It's Sunday 17th April! :)
Thanks for your help Andy! :)

The synchros can be found easily enough on the net, I don't think you even need to goto Nissan for them
