Hi,

I am looking for some new front brake pads and rear disc's for the Sunny GTI-R. They must be Genuine Nissan items, new and unused.
I have checked with my local Nissan garage and they are unavailable now.

Cheers

Thanks for the reply but I am looking for Genuine Nissan parts. My car is fitted with grooved discs and fast road pads which take a while to work effectively (not sure of the make). My car is a low mileage UK spec car and I want to fit parts back to original spec. This is a mod that I want to change back to standard.

Thats what the Nissan garage told me, none available. I might try another garage to see if they can confirm that they are unavailable.

No doc, discs are different as I ordered some Brembos and they sent Gti instead of R's, there is a 10mm difference width wise

Can you not get some plain discs other than nissan i have brembo i think and some other kind for the rears and just motor factor pads at a guess its a few month ago since i seen the box they were brand new but second hand to me. If you get stuck i will hunt them out and give you part numbers

Yes Brembo, and others do oem discs, blueprint should do pads, tar-ox also used to do pads, among others.

Any motor factors should be able to source these for you, "nissan" pads and disc are very unlikely to have been manufactured by nissan.

I have got some new Genuine Nissan front disc's and they have Nissan stamped on the egde's.
I am looking for Nissan pads to get the brake pad 'compound' right, as it was from the factory.
If I get stuck I will fit some plain disc's from Blueprint I think.
I thought someone out there might have some hidden away somewhere :)

Might have genuine original brake pads, will have a look. When next in the workshop they may not be boxed .

The Nissan garage rang and said the stuff I ordered yesterday is unavailable. Talk about being messed about!
SO,
I am still looking for Nissan rear disc's and front pads. Help!

Not surprised, anything over 21 day delivery is normally un obtainable from nissan, there is a hell of a lot of parts you can't buy from nissan now.

Doc, I have just bought some Genuine front pads so no need to search for them in your workshop. Thanks anyway!
Still need rear disc's!

You can just use 10.1 inch reardiscs off a gti with a gti pad carrier. It shifts the stock caliper inward 12mm approximately to line up with the disc with taller hat. You might need to trim the heat shield a little to make it fit. It is likely the cheapest long term solution to rear discs

I use a maxima 11inch rear disc with maxima pad carrier and the stock caliper for a slightly larger rear disc to match my 11 inch front 4 piston kit
