On a tangent again, I have idea of the costs but if I were to swop in a Z32 and bigger injectors would I send the ecu up to you to install a base map and board so I could granny the car up or would it be a trailer? What kind of notice do you need?

That works, we do that quite a bit. I'm booking into march for mapping now. No more space left this month, as I'm away the next two weeks.

Not really as it means buying a maf and altering the setup, pipework, filter etc, timing wheel wouldn't make a difference would it as the ecu is fully programmable, like using a Haltech, Motec etc, same ecu works on different cars ? No worries though, i guess it's not something you're interested in doing, i'll look elsewhere.

Thanks Ed, My time line's further out than that. I have a few things to sort on the car first, but I'll aim for around a months notice.

I know of no examples of an EVO ecu running on a nissan CAS - yes It will be ultimately possible but FWIW I do EVO mapping inc the later ECU's and whilst they are capable, they are not at all suited to putting on a nissan, knowing the time and therefore cost of the job, it really isn't worth me doing, and there would be no benefit in me doing so, it would just be a complete pain.

It was just an idea really, too me it seemed the cheaper solution for my situation, obviously i assume it'd be easy if i switched to a hall sensor set-up but then it wouldn't be a cheap fix, i didn't know if any of the geekmapped lot had written anything to support dizzys that's all, or how hard it'd be as it seems there's constant development on the evo ecu ? Only thing you haven't mentioned is if you have anything in the pipeline to go mafless on Nistune, or am i screwed without an aftermarket ecu...... ? Thanks for the info.

Thanks bud, is there any info on it anywhere, or is it something you could do (obviously i'd pay), i'm guessing you think it's the best solution for my situation, what sort of price do you think the parts and instalation would come to (without mapping) ?

Danny is reffering to a car I mapped recently which the owner had fitted hondata too. It was a big job, and would cost more than a standalone setup. Hondata S300 is about £380 alone.
