I am needing inspiration please guys, post your pics up : ) Want to stay legal, just want to see the different sizes, styles and positions used.
I am nearing the end of my project and looking for new number plates.
It currently has bike size square plates front and back, it has a front mount but i quite like the idea of putting a central plate at the top of the mesh for the mouth. The back could do with a full size plate I think, as the bike one doesn't fill the aperture. If i get this style, what size do I need please? I work away and won't be at the car for a few weeks to be able to measure this, would like to get them ordered and made for arriving home and then its mot. Which leads me onto, what size am I allowed to run at the front without any legality issues. Don't want to be silly with something tiny but would like something a touch smaller to not block the intercooler flow too much.

I like the Irish style font used on mk2 escorts but cant seem to easily find this, does anyone know what it is called. Just an idea but might go with it? If its legal of course?

Thank you

Current plates prior to respray and second two of how it now sits, including one with my old reg plate from my UK GTiR, this was just for show, didn't actually run with it, that would just be asking for trouble.
Finishing touches still required to the car, plates being one of them.

go onto my show plates.com everything from legal to full show plates can alter size font background borders the small number on the bottom which you need to be legal

someone needs to confirm this and I am talking inches rear max height 7" and length 13 " fully fill the rear holder I think I use 7x11 which fits n the bottom two clips on holder
front full size square is just under 10" by 8"
all I know is sure it needs standard spacing plain background that little dodgy number at bottom but as said use the site it tells all and shows preview of each plate

Thanks guys, I quite like the stick on ones too, but had an ax gt with one and it failed the mot.
Thanks for the link Johhny and the sizes, really appreciated! The size you have, I think is the same as i have just now, just wanted to see what they look like with a full size plate, to bother buying or not. I'm working down by you at the moment in wallsend and living in whitley bay, shame i dont have the Pulsar to meet up, only an mr2.
Nice car Gaz, fully legible but we would get fucked for that here.

Assuming your car is an import if you are unable to fit a standard number plate you are allowed to fit the largest number plate possible within the space available and can use the motorcycle font and spacing (slightly smaller than standard car). I would suggest that you can get jap size plates (so fits the rear perfectly) with the motorcycle font. This way it will look as if its meant to belong and be legal. You will also need to make sure your plates are kite marked and include the name of the supplier to be road legal.

Good effort, cheapest I've seen was with all fees £700 and most were £1100. Was looking for something ending GAF recently. ie F9 GAF
