That's mine mate, thanks, I've see the write up before but not that picture, looks cool with the Guernsey plate on it.

Not seen the other one before. Would still like to know if my first (red) Sunny is still about J348 VRX - it's neither registered nor SORN but that probably doesn't mean it's been scrapped....

Hi,

Hows K583 CGM doing. I came to see the car a while ago, you were sorting out the paint work and you where selling a white pulsar? Remember? I turned up in a black lifted Hilux (twice as big now). Have you sorted the car so you are satisfied with it? It looked the dogs to me!!

Would love to see some pics of the new No.5 you have bought!!

Regards
Justin (another UK Spec Sunny admirer)

The cars' running fine mate, I'd had the near side repainted when you saw it but have since had front end, lower off side, sills, rear hatch, spolier and rear bumper done. Was trying to keep it as original as possible but will probably get the roof, rear quarter, front wing and upper door done over the Winter. Been doing a bit of under bonnet detailing as well (but that's a work in progress) and it's just been Nissan serviced and MOT'd without any drama. I've now crossed the line where the car owes you too much to sell so it's now a keeper for the foreseeable.......

Sounds like a full respray.
Nice to know you are keeping it standard. Did you find any history about the car since it was offered as a prize you would of thought there would be some articles on it somewhere?

I had one years ago that was apparently a UK Spec GTiR.

I could not work out what it actually was though, as the log book said Sunny GTi registered in the UK in 1992 with a 2 litre engine.
However, when it went on the system for MOT, it came up as a 4wd turbo.

Everything on it was GTiR, even had super duper forged engine and the car itself was apparently used in the Isle of Mann hill climb competition.

After the car developed problems years ago, I broke it up for parts and it was confirmed by Ed at Fusion that the engine had swallowed thousands and thousands of someones money.

It was black J384 UPA in kent if anyone has ever heard of it or a GTi to GTiR conversion ever happening?

Cheers,

Lewis

That has an export marker on it, so it is in a foreign land

Jap imports were registered as loads of different things from sunny to Almera, uk cars are down as "sunny gti-r 4wd" on all the log books I have had.

mine is a uk car and has nothing on the log book just nissan but it is on a private plate as well so maybe thats why but its been checked by nissan is defo a uk/eu car not import

Nice to see one in such good condition, and gone to a good home too ;-)

Just looked at my V5 and it says the same, SUNNY GTIR 4WD. Was just looking at when i bought it too, 30/10/2002

That's virtually ten years i've had the old shed now :der:

You live in France and should have a French log book?

yes it should be on a french plate but havent had the money to do it as the french price the log book on pulling power and the gtir is 11 pulling power and its 40 euros per 1 so thats 11x40 = 440 euros and thats the same for every one in france every time the car changes owner u pay that and get a new number plate but there is a new plate that stays with the car now but the price to change owner is the same its a rip of
