A piece of history

It would be nice to have a look over it to see if it is mint, if it is i think it's worth close to that asking price. I think this will always split opinions, some people think its crazy spending extra money buying a clean car, but often the same people will buy a rougher example and pile money into trying to improve it and end up spending more than if they had just bought a decent one to start with. I think if you were looking for a gti-r to keep standard and hang onto for a long time it's not really that expensive.

It's a stunning car but it's only real value would be to buy it and lock it up in a garage, only taking it out once a year for a car show. That would be a shame but I guess its the only way to keep them looking mint and standard.

Pulsey on here has an unbelievably clean grey R, granted its a jap import but it's stunning. Has FSH from Japan, low mileage and the body work is mint. It definitely didn't cost £7.5k though:-D

Funny that it's only the UK that says the sunny is worth feck all, a good sunny in holland £17,000, hungary £10,000,sweden/norway £20,000, uk feck all!!

And bob you have a sunny lhd shell that in the uk is worth nothing but abroad it's a differant matter
yep true herring:lol:
but its only worth as much as someone is willing to pay, and the sunny rally car has history and papers to support. but if im honest i really could not see the car fetching 20k+ in europe.
i could be wrong but if i stuck it up for sale at that amount i have a feeling i would be stuck with it for a long long while.....wish i was wrong i would be a happy bunny if it did fetch that kinda money:-D

I always thought they were stupid on the continent, must prove correct that there bad taste in music and clothes rubs of onto their taste in cars and what there worth,

atleast a "pulsar" is something not many common people know what it is, saying I just spent 8k on a nissan "sunny" with a bonnet bulge and a turbo is something laughable least I can hide my ugly passion with a name lol

Remember a car in Norway costs alot more than UK cars regardless of make, model etc.... So its more natural that a Sunny LHD costs alot more than yours. Thats why we buy your cars for parts:thumbsup: A nice example of a lhd gti-r costs around 15000 in Norway now but they are rare. I payed more for my vw passat 2003 than you pay for a maximum built gti-r with everything uprated. So we live in a unfair world:lol:

there is 11 or 12 left, i have pictures of all of them
I reckon there must be a few more than that about, theres always going to be some that nobody knows about ;-)

When i bought mine for some reason i just decided i wanted a white uk spec car. I found one, bought it, and 8 years later its still sat on my drive and i plan on keeping it for a good few years yet.

i wouldn't have paid anymore for mine but i was happy with what i paid due to how mint and stock it is:D

Went to have a look at this yesterday but it was'nt anywhere to be seen. Apparently this dealer is known for selling "classics" at top dollar (ie vastly overpriced). Did see a nice Fiat Multipla though, the only car uglier than a R!:p
