Hey guys abit random I know but just thought I would post on here to ask if someone could keep an eye out for me, My R was taken from outside my house in Exmouth, Devon, Proberly about 18months ago. I was told it was sold on e-bay at some point? The Reg is L690 HDV and its black, it wascompletly standard when it was taken so I imagine its proberly been striped for parts.
Cheers for your time and reading this.

To be honest im not realy to sure, Ive not been on here for along time untill the last few days, Its only recently I had the brain wave to do it lol. Were better to ask. (numpty)
The car was sorn at the time and was on my drive way so was not insured, An un-insured vehicle with no tax means nothing to the police.
I did hear it was a local drug dealer who stole it and they sold it on ebay! With no logbook.!! Which I have here still. :(

In that case mate you want to get on to the dvla to see if anyone has asked for a new log book for it and if so try and get there addy out of them.

I bought a toyota starlet about 4months ago and the log book never showed up so i applied for a new one it was only £20ish i think.

Someone could of done this with your car mate,

The logbook is still in my name, and the vehicle is still classed as sorn with no m.o.t because I checked on the d.v.l.a website. The person could have easily just changed his own plates onto it tho, Or just stripped it for parts. Shame realy that theres people like that out there!

Can't sell the shell though because the VIN wouldn't match the V5... although it seems people don't always check that. The problem is that it doesn't matter who they bought it from or how legitimate they thought it was; it's still stolen and can be recovered and returned to the owner.

Unfortunately, if they do strip it, then it can't be recovered.

Lol, Nope never touched drugs in my life let alone owe a dealer money!
Yes the car is reported stolen to the police but unfortionatly a car with no tax or insurance is not much of a priority to them! Ive only been told by some yocals that it could be a certain local dealer. Drugs = Crime, Car theft = Crime so im sure to a dealer making money illegally is the same in any game? I have got over the fact tho that I may never see it again so all I can do is cross my fingers And Attack people were appropriate.

Maybe someone else owed him money, and stealing and breaking a car can make the money to settle the debt?
Suffice to say that nobody knows who did it or the police would have done something about it (because that's an easy job, and they're just people like the rest of us and will do the easy jobs first). - My in-laws had a break-in, but the guy didn't really take anything and left his hat behind. A year later the police rang to say that they'd caught him with DNA evidence from his hat...
