paul aka k9ng has one fitted and i also!
with these units you only need to connect the flow and return to the rail the other connections are not needed as it has an inbuilt pump running in line, so either loop or blank the other outlets and it will work fine.

if you find that the pump is really noisy then swap the power connections over! the blue or neg connection on mine is actually the main live if you connect the other way round the pump runs very noisily, so make sure its working in conjunction and not against the existing pump.

Boby,
this is brilliant !!! Of course, I only need to tap before the fuel filtre and put that surge tank "in line" with the OE setup... awesome.

One thing remains: is there a difference between connecting to any IGN signal or shoudl I tap the actual signal that goes to the pump in the boot gas tank ? Also, relay or no relay, how much amp does a pump need ? Where did you get your pwr source ?

Cheers for all the help, much appreciated guys... going to the track this Friday and I need this :D

I think this is something I'm gonna have to sort out as well. Bob, has this completely eradicated any fuel surge? And any chance of a pic of where you've installed it! ;)

Cheers

I'll provide pics and install tips after I complete my setup .... and comment on the efficiency of the thing. Just need to sort the wiring now.

cheers,

yes mike it does stop the surge to a point!
and the point being is if you were going around a very long left hand bend and low on fuel then you would actually still get fuel starvation with one of these as they simply do not hold enough fuel when your really gunning it into a long bend!

so when you recieve that pipe / filter ive sent today, make sure you place it as close to the bottom of the tank that you physically can, ive adapted my outer case to make it sit lower still in the tank.

can get photos but wont be till weekend as im run off my feet this week.

Did my swirl pot from a lump of 5" ali pipe, and got an acquantance to weld a hat ane bottom to it. Its not pretty but it works, with the added bonus that you decide where the ffeds and returns go, an more importantly what diameter.

Not saying its perfect, but it seems to work, I think.....

And the best thing is, it was cheap

Look forward to seeing it, but if it still does it on long corners I will have to go for a bigger tank as the long left hander at Pembrey will still give me the same problem.

oh yeah sorry forgot to answer that bit:doh:

yes as you just said take it from the existing relay and it should be fine. the lad who works for me is better with electrics than me so he wired mine up via an independant relay and fused it but i cant see why he never just took the feed from the relay that was already there.
when i asked him why he did it like that he just told me 'it was better that way' but fcuk knows why:lol:

Can you go on track with standard full UK drivers license? - maybe I'm too much into Gran turismo  lol but I just assumed you need some sort of a racers license..
