After fitting my replacement engine (HKS 87m piston, HKS head gasket, HKS 550cc injectors) a month ago it wasn't running well what with the enlarged injectors.

Searching on the forum and reading about there success on Time attack (last years champions) and 200sx boys giving them a the thumbs i decided to book it in for a complete remap on the standard ECU £350 inc VAT.

Jez was a top guy fitted the additional board to my ECU plugged in his laptop (ECU, Exhaust sensor and ECU diagnostic). Instantly it was running fuelling 20% more fuel on idle. Sorted that then headed out to map peak boost and check for Det.

We mapped my for 1.1 bar over all it runs so much better instant response, lag reduced and may be better fuel economy......... one happy man :thumbsup:

thats where mine was gonna go phil, before i decided on a pfc.
like you i have only heard good reports on this company and there work.
ive spoken to jez a few times and hes a very helpfull guy that knows his stuff, and will not try and bullsh1t you like many of these other so called tuner types out there.
glad hes sorted your motor for you!

1.1 is running on a standard t28 (aftermarket turbo elbow and front pipe, goose and filter)

I haven't recieved the V5 yet, i did email the guy a couple of weeks back but no responce. Will try and find his number and call him, did you want me to pass it on to Jimmy?

Not wanting to point out something obvious here :lol: But why didnt you just put a set of standard injectors back in and save yourself £350 :der: :lol:

jimmy is in my bad books at the moment phil.
loaded the car on back of lorry, set a day aside to deliver it, and just as i was leaving, he phoned and said he no longer wanted it:target: :evil: so im none to happy to say the least!

but had the ol bill round the same night, going through all my vehicles and paperwork as they thought i was nicking all these motors:shock: but they traced the red one back to a guy in norfolk, which must have been the bloke you bought it off.
but i need all the papers as ive got to fill in every vehicle i own or have owned logbooks to say they have been scrapped or resold etc.
some of the cars in question go back 18 months ago and with around 20 of these either being sold or scrapped its caused me a brain ache of a large scale:roll:
and thats not to mention all the other vehicles ive owned and sold through my garage.
still its my own fault for not keeping all paperwork in order.

btw nothing will come back to you, as the vehicle was loaded on my low loader ready to deliver to jimmy and NOT on the road;-) so theres no outstanding tickets on it or anything like that.

I'd like to get my peak torque to be made earlier. And, get the peak figure to be a bit higher. I'd leave the boost at around the same level it is now (1.1 bar). Although this needs adjustment in all gears but 4th, to hold it at that level.
With the figures it currently makes in mind, I don't think 330 bhp and 310 lb's/ft of torque would be out of the question. Maybe a bit more when I get my ported, polished and lagged manifold on.

That is a fair comment but i was always on the understanding that to get the best of your mods you should have the car mapped to maximize there use.

Sorry to hear about Jimmy messing you about and i wasn't concerned about the ticket thing. The red car came from Norfolk so that sounds like the didn’t send the 5v. Will chase him up.
